The London Scottish Regiment
Formed in 1859, The London Scottish Regiment is the capitals only highland regiment. Having served in the Boar war, WW1, WW2, N Ireland, The Falklands, the Balkans, both Gulf wars, and Afghanistan, the regiment is now part of The London Regiment which is the TA Guards regiment in the Household Division.
The serving Company recruits young men and women from 18 to 43yrs of age to serve an infantry soldiers. We have a Pipe and Drums band which play at major events in the UK and abroad, and are available for hire for functions as a full band or as individual pipers. The regimental association and benevolent fund looks after the needs of former members, and we have three Army Cadet Force units based in Westminster, Grove Park, and Eltham, training youngsters from 12 to 18 yrs of age.
