| Other Info | William Will Evening Each year we organise a special event to commemorate the great contribution William Will made during the first half of the twentieth century to The Burns Club of London and, indeed, to every important London Scottish organisation of the period. Our guest speaker this year is Jack Webster, well known Scottish journalist and author, who will give a talk entitled Sunset Song - the life of Lewis Grassic Gibbon. Jack was voted UK Speaker of the Year in 1996 and his recent play on this subject was very well received, so we look forward to hearing what he has to say about one of Scotland's finest prose writers. The evening will also include some great musical entertainment from Donald Ross and his Ceilidh Dance Band, who are guaranteed to set your feet tapping and bring a smile to your face. |
